About the Project
There’s a misconception that they aren’t Artist who make great Music with a message. That Artists don’t support one another. That Urban Contemporary Artist only promote Sex, drugs and Violence. I can attest those allegations are unsure. Artists of Color who make Music with a message are often flushed out by popular trends and Mainstream Artist with label backing. My goal has always been to push the culture forward by Curating events with exceptionally Talented Indie or local Artists. Black Excellence would consist of several Artists all varying in Genre who display that the Black experience isn’t monolithic and we all have different influences. I host as well and would perform in the line up as well.Production Team
