Do Any of You Know Who This Is? is a show about a woman named Me. Me has an eating disorder. Me runs a small artisanal grocery store. Here, surrounded by bread and vegetables, Me seeks herself in everyone she meets. She wants to know— what are you having for dinner and also what is the worst thing you’ve ever done? I’ll go first. Do Any of You Know Who This Is? is a show about the distance between who we are and who we get to be, and what happens when you try to close that distance. It hurts really bad because no one taught you how to do it. And they are angry you are trying to learn without them, and scared because they don’t know how to help you. It is a show about hurting yourself and also thinking you’re the most beautiful woman in the world. It is also a show about thinking your mom is the most beautiful woman in the world and knowing that she hurts herself too. Do Any of You Know Who This Is? is a show about desire. All this produce has Me feeling hot. Hot and bothered. Hot and bothered and embarrassed. What do you do when you are embarrassed of your own desire? If you are Me, you talk at great length and in great detail about it using thinly-veiled food metaphor. Me does not know why she wants what she wants, but she knows she is a woman of want. Please help Me figure out who she is.
