James has constructed a piece that everyone on the gender spectrum can relate to in some fashion. The caricature of "Chad" is unfortunately an image that everyone on this planet has seen either in real life or from television. I came from a city FULL of Chads. It was petrifying. With this Caricature of (toxic) Men and the story of Jamie, James effectively made a piece that has left me thinking about how I view Trans people. This is a story that needs to be heard as I believe one would need to be heartless to not be able to empathize with the trans community after hearing it. ...

James Leonida’s Bro! was such a charming show with a strong commentary on the meaning of gender. James provides definitions for masculinity from two perspectives: his own, as a trans artist, and from his terrifying/hilarious character, Chad, providing a brilliant satire of “alpha male” culture paired with such an honest approach to gender identity from a queer perspective. I had the pleasure of seeing the first preview and I am so excited for more people to experience James’s greatness as an actor and writer. Such an important show for today, would highly recommend....
