What I liked

Transgender time travel!! Laser’s casual comedy and indie musical stylings make for a very cozy experience, and I felt so honored to have his life story shared with me in such a personal way. As a real live trans person, I was totally tickled at the trans humor, but I also learned a lot of new things — no matter how much you know about trans men in history, Laser has made it easy to have a good time.

What I didn't like

I hope that audiences who attend later shows in the run will get to see the show at its most effortless; I’m sure the little moments of dead air here and there will gradually disappear with the confidence boost of each performance!

My overall impression

This show is part historical anthology, part autobiography, and all heart. I learned about some really cool trans icons, but most importantly, I got to hear Laser’s story straight from him in musical form, and I was really touched by the opportunity. I also laughed a lot!
