As I have stated – the writing and the acting and the simplistic yet effective use of their staging / set design.
What I didn't like
There were some tech issues with screen – first show. Understandable. Sure it can be resolved.
My overall impression
The show is a one two knockout! One – THEWRITING. It’s hard to believe the playwrights are rising Sophomores at USC – Ferrell and Moore deliver a masterful, emotional, smart, and sophisticated story in just 50 minutes with distinct characters the audience takes with them. The characters bring confrontative questions – seemingly first, “Who did it?” – and their words stay and question you further – “what is innocence?” – “what is justice?” – “what is freedom?” TWO – THEACTING. Ferrell and Moore portray a believable friendship that in 3 acts you grieve with them the injustice of its sacrifice. They each have monologues that shine and contrast and build to the black out and rapt silence of the closing act and time literally has stood still – emotion culminates to a loss that is felt throughout the theater. Bravo!
