What I liked

I loved the depth Asta put into Lola. She really feels like a real person. And every scene is set clearly and we know exactly how crazy her life is and just off the wall Lola is. It’s lovely.

What I didn't like

The only thing I thought could be improved, or adjusted, would be having soft lights during scene changes. It didn’t realize how much it affected a show until I saw several others this year with scene changes. And in this show, each scene goes to black, and it created an odd feeling as an audience member as to not knowing when to clap or when it was over. Just a thought. Otherwise, well done!!

My overall impression

I had so much fun at this show. The work that Asta put into her character Lola is incredible. She truly disappears into this over the top struggling actress that you can’t help but smile throughout the show. And as much as it is funny, this show has a lot of heart. The work between director and actor is very evident here and we the audience get taken on a wild ride that shows just how crazy things can get here in Hollywood.
