An emotional, well-crafted piece about how the performer has persevered and remained defiant despite the many terrible ways racism has affected his life. It felt like a microcosm of the African-American experience (I mean, I'm white so I'm not the best judge but I believe that was the intent). This should be watched by every American. Please reprise the show or get it on HBO . It is that informative and that good. Levy Led can act, story tell and most of all write. Racism is a topic that is always somehow not delivered in the right words, forum etc but Levy tells it exactly as it has to be told from the eyes of a young innocent hope-filled kid ravaged at a young age by a cop killing in Harlem and other slights he notices growing up that only get more viceral with all the coo killings since in America. Where is the evil from and where is the compassion? The show communicates to all our better natures! Bravo! ... full review

I went to see ODYSSEY, RACE AND RACISM on the Saturday show at 6pm. His performance was simply breathtaking. The stories Levy Lee told of his experience growing up in Harlem is sadly still prevalent today. I walked away happy, angry and motivated to do my part in changing the narrative one person at a time. I've attended more plays, performances, and 1 man shows on and off-Broadway in NYC and in and around Hollywood to support my friends than I can remember. Knowing Levy Lee Simon for nearly 20 years, I was expecting a lot. Suffice to say, my mind and heart were blown wide open.
