What I liked

I loved Ty’s characterization, voice work, physicality, and acting. His dance and movement work, especially his experience as a clown, is on full display and it took me by surprise in the best way possible. Nothing about the performance feels anything but honest and thoroughly experienced. Its not an easy show to perform, and he performs it with mastery of craft. The ticking clock element was an inspired piece of writing that created palpable tension and uneasiness resulting in relief and catharsis.

My overall impression

A gorgeous show. Ty is a brave and truly honest performer, with an emotional depth and human complexity that can’t be taught, only developed the hard way. This show is dark, contemplative, funny, moving, and hopeful. It is good from its surface to its soul, just like Ty is.
