What I liked
I liked the well developed characters and thought provoking points that were made.
What I didn't like
The overly complicated technical devices used to show a transition into and out of one character to the next were not needed. The acting was strong enough that a simple lighting change would have supported jumping into and out of the different “worlds” and the sound of the “ding” pulled me from the story (especially if it didn’t hit quite on time) and it wasn’t needed. If the acting and directing wasn’t good, it might have been needed – but the acting and directing were stellar and no additional story-telling devices were needed to clarify who was who and what was what.
My overall impression
This show is very well written and the subject matter is handled well. The acting is quite fantastic and I liked how the story within a story was told. Both performers did a phenomenal job as did the director. Do not miss the opportunity to see this fantastic piece of theatre at this year’s fringe!
