As a black female audience member, I was immediately drawn to the powerful portrayal of the black female character, Cathy-Ann. This play was concise and thought provoking. Dealing with relevant issues in todays world made the play seem almost timeless yet modern at the same time. The ripping of band aids between friendships facing their own prejudices was raw and compelling. It gave us a perspective that I think many of us are too afraid to face ourselves. With its insight of nuances on race and queerness along with its comedy makes this play a must see for your heart and for your soul. ...
