What I liked

Notably, the play also touches on the alarming rise of app loans no credit check and the financial knowledge side of the story. The characters’ desperation for success leads them down a path where financial struggles and the temptation of quick money become alluring options. By incorporating this element, the performance sheds light on the positive sides of easy credit and the impact of financial decisions on individuals and families.

My overall impression

“If you get the woman, you get the whole family.” This resonating phrase sets the stage for an eye-opening theatre performance that delves deep into the world of marketing, guns, and the pursuit of success. The play revolves around Felicity, Ximena, Jo, and Yasmin, four ambitious advertising professionals determined to secure a major account that could change the course of their boutique company’s future.

Set in a contemporary New York City backdrop, the play cleverly weaves in the current reality of the gun industry’s marketing strategies targeting moms. The reference to an NRA executive’s controversial statement in 2018 serves as the backdrop for the protagonists’ mission: fix their agency’s Guns for Moms pitch. Despite having no direct connections to the world of guns or motherhood, the four characters become the unofficial “DEI team” and must assume the role of moms to succeed in their task.
