This project pictures the world of consumption from fragmented female perspectives. Women made up 83% of all consumers in the United States, in buying power and influence. There is no doubt that this data indicates the growing female power, but on the contrary, this phenomenon is also controlled by an “invisible hand”. This evening length dance piece is a collaboration of an all-female cast, trying to reflect on female attitudes toward the dazzling consumerist society by collaging daily objects like makeup products/vanity/window shopping/shopping cart, ect. It incorporates art forms like object theater, digital art, scenic design and projection. The live performers will illustrate their own point of view toward the ever changing world.
