An excellent -- and surprisingly moving -- exploration of the *thoughts* and of Holmes during some of the "greatest hits" that Watson put out in the world, which he / Doyle never shared. We know Holmes' *actions* during those recorded events, and now we know the *feelings* of the man who claims to have none experienced....

I first visited 221B Baker Street through the pages of Conan Doyle’s (technically Watson’s) stories when I was twelve years old. Over the years it has been a safe, comfortable, and stimulating refuge in a world that seems to have become less safe and comfortable. Sherlock Holmes represents a time when intellect and cunning triumphed over brute force, media bullying and legal manipulation. Tonight I returned to Baker Street. For an hour Nigel Miles-Thomas made Sherlock Holmes come alive again in an intimate setting. Familiar, yet its own special thing.
