An excellent -- and surprisingly moving -- exploration of the *thoughts* and of Holmes during some of the "greatest hits" that Watson put out in the world, which he / Doyle never shared. Over the years it has been a safe, comfortable, and stimulating refuge in a world that seems to have become less safe and comfortable. Sherlock Holmes represents a time when intellect and cunning triumphed over brute force, media bullying and legal manipulation. Tonight I returned to Baker Street.
