SHERLOCK HOLMES was an Icon of MY era (the 20th-century!) so I was pleased to be invited to yesterday's matinee (SAT the 17th), a week earlier than my ticket (NEXT Sat). An amazingly DENSE Dramatization of the entire (imaginary) life of Holmes, and Watson, it is well-served by Brit Nigel Miles-Thomas, who scores the tour-de-force of his five-decade career by taking charge of the entire Holmes canon by himself! (I predict a triumph in August at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to which he and the show are headed under the aegis of Fringe Management.)...

This is a great "recap" of all things Holmes. It hits all of the major points of the original Conan Doyle stories, presented as Holmes reminiscing about his life and career. If you don't know much about the Holmes oeuvre this is a great way to dive in....
