The direction was stylized with a fantastic use of space and tech – it was a visually exciting show. I absolutely loved the groups of actors having two discussions on stage at the same time. Amazing performances from the actors as well!
What I didn't like
I didn’t connect to the treatment of the two coquette-ish girls as they were written in the script. I was bothered by their flirting with a much older man and I didn’t feel like that man’s participation in that flirting meshed with his otherwise patriarchal arch (he laments over his daughter who doesn’t visit his spot of death anymore).
I also felt the revealed relationship of the two girls is confusing and the explanation is done inelegantly, adding very little to the overall theme of the show.
My overall impression
A thought-provoking dark comedy/drama exploring death via the recently (and not very recently) deceased. While I didn’t connect with some aspects of the script, it was well-performed and directed with interesting theatrical ideas.
