What I liked
I truly LOVED all of it. I think the part that really stood out to me (and there were many) was when Michelle’s powerful mother made an appearance at the principal’s office. I literally got chills! How she fiercely protected her cub like a Lioness. It made me think of my own mother who passed away in 2018. Also, the scene where her dad gave her up was heartbreaking. She transformed effortlessly into that character and I felt as if I was watching and listening to her dad in that moment. The whole show was just phenomenal and I highly recommend it!
What I didn't like
That it wasn’t longer! lol I was so engaged with the performance, an hour went by quickly. That’s only a testament to what a brilliant artist Michelle is that we all could have sat through another hour.
My overall impression
Michelle is a powerhouse performer and I was so moved by her incredible show! It was relatable in so many ways cause I believe almost everyone has experienced some kind of bullying in their life and I just wanted to go on stage and hug that little girl. Her characters were real, grounded, and believable. I felt like I was a kid at camp with her. I was completely captivated and engaged by her performance the entire show.
