Incredible script, could use some refining toward the end.
My overall impression
Josiah Blount’s powerhouse performance in “Flayed” is one of the best examples of solo show crafting I’ve ever witnessed. The show is chock-full of characters, each so clearly different, insanely and individually unwrapped, that following this actor into the pits of hell is an absolute joy. Giving any more away would be a sin but let’s just say that “Flayed” and its incredible performer will keep you thinking and rehashing for quite some time, especially if, like me, you’ve had similar dark experiences with Christian zealotry, sexual guilt and shame. When performing, I was always taught to “extend to the logical absurdity” and that’s just what Blount soars at. Be prepared for ANYTHING, folks.
