Flayed was remarkable. Josiah gave an incredible tour de force performance. He has such incredible comedy chops and did such vivid character work, then he cracked his heart open and gifted us with his relentless and breathtaking vulnerability. It was one of the best one man shows I’ve ever seen. ... full review

Josiah is a force of nature. An incredibly talented performer with a wide range of characters and diverse set of skills. He embodies what seems like dozens of characters throughout his 90 minute show, committing fully to each one. Josiah gives you 100% of his heart in every scene, whether it be dramatic or comedic, and he is always wildly entertaining and fascinating to behold. Don't miss this, it's one of a kind. ... full review

"Flayed" was truly an accurate representation of its presenter; it was smart, genuine, compelling, and hot. I would see it again in a heartbeat. Josiah shines a brilliant spotlight on the nature of being a young queer in rural Appalachia compounded by the hurdles of a religious upbringing. The humor and delivery were brazen and rightfully so. Josiah is a joy to behold on stage, from his clever character work to his salacious storytelling, "Flayed" is Josiah in his element.... full review

I was taken on a journey through the lens of a young pastor who is giving his first sermon. He seems to be uneasy because he is trying to be someone that he is not. He's trying to conform to the world he was born into. As the sermon progresses, he starts to reveal himself. It is beautiful, heart breaking, and cathartic. ... full review

A show that uses comedy to travel time and space, centering in on a young man’s religious trauma. Incredible character work and bits I truly never thought I’d ever see. As someone who grew up hearing similar things in church this obviously came from a place of deep knowing and hard won experience. ... full review

This show was fully and absolutely brilliant. It was somehow both down-to-earth and completely fantastical, both over-the-top and deeply personal. Josiah is razor-sharp, and transitions between characters with impressive specificity. This is a solo show, but it feels impossible that it is being performed by only one person. I'm going to be thinking about this show for a long time. it is an impressive theatrical feat and truly one of my favorite performances I've seen in recent history. ... full review
