What I liked
The entire concept of this show was the hook for me! And to allow these writers the absolute, creative freedom to play with a theme of what it means to be, or to act, or to live in circumstances that certain members of society deem “Inappropriate” was just a stroke of genius! As an active theatre-goer, I appreciated that some of the pieces were more satirical in nature while others were meant to be straight-up comedies. These differing voices offered a really fun evening and of course, these actors getting to play different characters must have been a hoot!
What I didn't like
For my taste, I think a few of the pieces could have gone into even MORE “Inappropriate” territory (per the title itself).
My overall impression
I am so very grateful to have a theatre company like NEO Ensemble participating in the Fringe! While they are at it, they are also showcasing some truly wonderful acting and writing to boot! Laughter is truly the best medicine with all the craziness happening in the world and this cohesive team of players are clearly having a blast sharing all that is INAPPROPRIATE!
