Nick Pupo: Addicted

What I liked

The humor mixed with the rough moments — it was a great balance.
The emotional connection I had to the various characters in the story.

What I didn't like

I’d like to know WHY you did drugs/drank/etc. Yes, that one kid got you into pot. But I want to know why pot felt so good — what pain was it covering up. Was there trouble at home? Narcissistic mom/dad? Maybe more emphasis on the chubby kid storyline, and how you were bullied? I think there needs to be an explanation for why you turned to drugs so we aren’t mad at you when you keep going back to do drugs and breaking promises.

My overall impression

Fantastic story — wonderful moments of humor woven into a hard conversation about addiction. Nick has quite a presence on stage. Bravo!
