What I liked
I loved the natural humor that Nick provides to allow for some comic relief in a show that could have been mired in a more dark and depressing tone if not for his comedic writing and engaging personality. The humor never serves as a crutch though, it doesn’t sugar coat the realities of drug use and addiction for the sake of cheap laughs, this is a hard tightrope to walk and Nick does so deftly.
What I didn't like
There is a lot working well with the use of light cues to help with the mood and transitions, I think even more exploration here with both light and sound could potentially benefit it and provide a little more impact.
My overall impression
Nick’s show is well written, wonderfully performed, and very poignant. It’s a raw, funny, and heartfelt glimpse into the world of someone who has battled some demons.
