Chance is an incredible movement actor. Every movement he made felt strategic and it made the space feel so alive. He had such powerful energy on the stage, making the apartment seem even more small and dreary, like it couldn't hold in such a big force. I feel as if I witnessed the discovery of the next new movie star when taking-in Chance Lang’s one-man show presented at a performance at Stephanie Feury Studio Theatre — one of the venues at the current Hollywood Fringe Festival. Lang’s command of the stage was instantaneous and his portrayal of a down-and-out (booze? drugs? romance? ALL OF THAT!!) young man searching for answers was nothing short of total commitment filled with pathos and ethos. Lang’s commitment was so complete I wanted to stage an intervention right there on the spot.
