What I liked
I thought the balance that the four actors brought to the show worked really well. It was really fun to try and figure out with the characters in real time what was really going on. The writing is quite clever with twists and turns in each scene, and the technical elements are handled expertly. (There is a scene with a noose that was done especially well). For those who didn’t get tickets, keep your eyes peeled for those extension tickets!
What I didn't like
My biggest issue is that this is barely an immersive piece. It does the bare minimum to qualify as one. Your mileage may vary on this critique.
My overall impression
This play is the closest we’ll get to an episode of Black Mirror in this years Fringe Festival. With themes challenging what might make a person evil, potential future alternatives to corporal punishments, and a really compelling twist, its a fun ride from start to finish.
