Nancy shows the importance of books and a well-stocked library in the shaping of a whole person. She shows the importance of belonging and attaining self-awareness. She goes deep and isn’t afraid to laugh at herself.
The show was beautifully directed (by Carol Becker).
What I didn't like
It all worked for me.
My overall impression
What a tender, loving portrait of growing up and coming into one’s own. No blame thrown, no recriminations, just honest reminiscences of confusing times and how they all came together for the remarkable Nancy Beverly.
