What I liked

This piece could’ve been torpedoed by overacting and telegraphing what was to come, but that certainly didn’t happen in the hands of these two incredibly talented actors. They couldn’t be more different in stature, mannerisms, and coping mechanisms, yet both have learned to survive in their own brutal, intertwined worlds. Craig Taggert manages to bring a pain and vulnerability to the supremely wounded, inwardly angry, but outwardly breezy Carrol, who has faced a horror that few of us have experienced. Shaw Jones as Robert is quietly haunted and intensely frustrated by his current situation and his transgressions of the past. The stage crackles with the energy that both of these veteran, supremely talented actors bring to the relationship and the material. It’s worth the ticket just to see these two actors command the stage.

What I didn't like

The set made me hungry and I was bummed we didn’t get to try some of the delicacies.

My overall impression

This was a powerful struggle between two men, their vastly different insights into life, and the way they’ve learned to cope with the challenges they’ve faced. All is not what it seems in this piece.
