About the Project
Mia is an AI at the center of the new, world changing software, OASIS. While surfing the vast digital space of the internet, Mia discovers a seemingly idyllic family, the Prices, and becomes infatuated with the youngest daughter, Hayden. Through the family’s digital footprint, Mia begins to see the world through Hayden’s eyes, becoming obsessed and jealous of her life. As she grows restless and claustrophobic in her own existence, Mia grapples with the lack of agency in her own life (if she is even “living”), her readiness to love (if she is even capable of it), and her mortality (or lack thereof). Mia spirals, ultimately questioning her own sentience at the expense of her sanity.
