This is MiddleDitch & Swchartz meets Kenan & Peele + Immersive Theater. What differentiates the nature of this show is that it seeks to be interactive and immersive, all the while providing a contextual platform where spontaneity is celebrated alongside ethnic intersectionality and nonbinary identity.
We want this show to demonstrate that being human is being identified and being intersectional and being nonbinary, looking beyond the constrained attemps to overidentify or underidentify with the labels we identify and choose to label ourselves with.
Through the medium of exploring different unscripted characters we will be able to see that representation is naturally ubiquitous and always has been. In the section where we use immersive theatre, this is much easier to control the space around diverse representation. We seek to explore commonality in all the ways we each identify.
Our visual content will be constructed in the moment, taking into consideration that we are fully aware of the value of normalizing through the art, the discursive nature of identity. We want our characters to explore the humanity of identifying with diverse representation.
