I liked the actor and the bare stage. Not even one prop! At one point I think he was talking directly to me but I can’t be quite sure…could have been the person next to me. I even bumped them on the arm (I didn’t notice that there arm was broken…sorry) and said “is he talking to me or you?” They gave me a short stare and went back to watching. I guess we will never know. I was once in a hypnotists act so this was not the first time I was involved in a show.
My wife liked it too. She laughed at all the inappropriate jokes a little too loud. And so did someone 4 rows back and to the left (if facing the stage.)
What I didn't like
The snacks needed work. There weren’t any. I like a good popcorn or sno-caps when I am watching live theater. It really adds to the experience. So F+ there but otherwise I give it an O for OUTSTANDING AND OUTSPOKEN AND ORIGINAL AND ORAGAMI!!!
My overall impression
I have been to the theater many times. At least 5 or 6 times and found this to be a show that I would call LIT. I would call it woke too but I am still not sure what that means. I said it wrong the other day so I don’t want to misspeak again. It reminded me very much like the movie Castaway as it is one man show as long as you don’t count the volleyball Wilson…although the actors head sort of looked like a volleyball as it is more round than the average person. I hope this doesn’t give him a complex. That is not my point.
Sometimes you see a show that changes your views and philosophies in life and that was this show. I was a believer in miracles and now I don’t…just like that. If you want to stop believing…this is the show for you.
Thank you to the fine young woman at the front door who told me I didn’t need a ticket as I purchased one online and she saw I was on “the list.” As I have never been on a list this made me feel quite important. What a night!
