Nora has grown up believing her whole life that she is her parent’s child. She finds out on her sixteenth birthday that she is adopted, and was born in Colombia. She tries to reconcile her childhood with her roots, to find who she is now, and grapples with the question of her birth parents and if she is brave enough to find them. Her story collides with Alejandro at college, as he is looking for his birth father, who left the family and when back to El Salvador when he was barely two years old. The friends try to answer the question “where do I belong?” a find a place they can call home together along the way.
