I saw this show last night, not knowing what to expect. This is a very dark, and very heavy piece. Imagine if the movie “Inside Out” took place after a funeral. There’s our main “Riley” character, a dancer, whose brother had recently committed a suicide that she blames herself for. The show is about her grief, and about coming to terms with it. Each character in the show is either a stage of grief (Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression), or one of her inner emotions (Anxiety, Shame, Hope, Innocence), as they try to steer her through her grief, while battling the villain of the piece (noted in the program as “The Void”). It’s a well acted, well produced thought provoking story, with a lot of emotion and heart. 🤔... full review
