What I liked
Well placed jokes, songs and beats. I’m an old school hip hop fan and she played some of my favorite beats and sing along!
What I didn't like
Producing something for a festival is always a challenge because you don’t have enough resources and rehearsal time. I’m sure she’ll keep fine tuning it as she performs this more after the festival. I manifest a long-lasting run for this play.
My overall impression
Mélia skillfully carried this fun musical through the end. She had plenty of well-placed laughs going along with a realistic story, which was clearly driven by her life experiences. And she always brought the audience back to center after dramatic moments. And that it being a musical made this one woman show even better.
