Melia is such an endearing and wildly talented performer who keeps you captivated from start to finish! The writing and characters were so incredibly compelling and Melia pulled them off with such specificity. The laughs are non stop but there were plenty of other strong emotions. The show was funny and captivating from beginning to end! I was literally sitting at the edge of my seat -- every single moment -- waiting to see how Mélia's story unfolds. The rap lyrics were hilarious, the themes of race, bullying, and socioeconomic status were explored in nuanced ways, and the navigation between our teenage desires/dreams and the will of our parents was something so many people can relate to (myself included!).
