Chance Lang

Chance Lang is a New York born, Los Angeles based interdisciplinary performer, creator, actor/playwright. He received his BFA for Acting in the school of Theatre at the California Institute of the Arts where he cultivated skills in the styles of Shakespeare, Grotowski’s “poor theatre”, Commedia del Arte, Clown, Method (Stanislavski, Meisner, Adler), Dance (Butoh, Tai Chi, Alexander, Modern/contemporary) and writing for stage and screen. He has had the privilege to work internationally on various physical theatre and theatrical productions including the Divine Comedy Festival in Krakow, Poland, and is currently training at Tim Robbins, Actors Gang Theatre in Culver City, CA, and Stephanie Feury’s Acting Studio in Larchmont, CA.
Chance’s work focuses on confronting the ecstatic terrors of love, life, death, addiction, and gratitude to further articulate the nuanced gift of a raptured finite human experience. Through brevity, and relentlessly holding onto a ‘spark of hope’, Chance hopes to inspire love and hope in his work as an attempt to encourage love and hope to transcend beyond the theatre and into the communities of his friends, family and audience.
