Roni our performer and play writer does a great job of establishing the difficulties of being a strong confident vulnerable person, effected by a deep need for ‘true love.’ I liked her desire to help the audience understand who she is as a person. Then as she unveils the adventures of love and heartache we get to understand why she may be feeling the way she does, and who to navigate and define these feelings. With her honesty comes grounded humor and familiar feelings of what it’s like when we have our hearts broken and restored.
What I didn't like
Roni did a great job! I would love for her to slow down, but knowing her from the show that may be a mute request…
My overall impression
My impression of MADD About the Boy was a solid piece.
