For the premier showing, I was overwhelmingly IMPRESSED! It was well written, directed and acted. The story line flowed and knowing the book it was based on, I really like how they modernized the story which made it so much more relatable to present day issues. I was a bit worried when they announced that there will be no intermission as it was a small theater which makes it challenging when a play loses my interest. However, it didn't lose my interest at all, in fact when it finished, I was still wanting more.... full review

Incredible production. Wish the venue were bigger so more people could see it. Mike Talplacido wrote an amazing play. The story is relevant and important. There was so much drama. It was next-level drama and I loved it!... full review

Wow! I must admit, I haven’t heard of this story before so I’m approaching this with a “was I entertained” point of view. And the short answer is, absolutely! I heard quite a few people buzzing about the show immediately afterwards. People discussing the twists and turns, lifts and shifts of the show, and I really would recommend!... full review

As a Filipino-American, I see this production as vital to our community. The themes that the cast and crew explored with a revamped version of Jose Rizal's novella are as relevant now as they were decades ago. Additionally, the artistic decision to make clear how a pre-colonial matriarchal nation has suffered under the trappings of the patriarchy and its inherent greed was nothing short of brilliant. ... full review

If you like "The Room", then this show is for you. It has a tremendous idea for the adaptation but ultimately marred by clunky writing, absurdly over the top acting, and scene transitions that need to be worked out pronto.... full review

All in all, I commend all the actors and writers, directors, and everyone who is behind all this. You all did a great job putting up this play! And I'm really happy to see Filipino plays here in the US! We need more of this to strengthen our culture and to show the world how good and talented Filipinos are also, in theater arts. Congratulations #Dont. ... full review
