For the premier showing, I was overwhelmingly IMPRESSED! It was well written, directed and acted. The story line flowed and knowing the book it was based on, I really like how they modernized the story which made it so much more relatable to present day issues. I was a bit worried when they announced that there will be no intermission as it was a small theater which makes it challenging when a play loses my interest. However, it didn't lose my interest at all, in fact when it finished, I was still wanting more....

Wow! I must admit, I haven’t heard of this story before so I’m approaching this with a “was I entertained” point of view. And the short answer is, absolutely! I heard quite a few people buzzing about the show immediately afterwards. People discussing the twists and turns, lifts and shifts of the show, and I really would recommend!...

As a Filipino-American, I see this production as vital to our community. The themes that the cast and crew explored with a revamped version of Jose Rizal's novella are as relevant now as they were decades ago. Additionally, the artistic decision to make clear how a pre-colonial matriarchal nation has suffered under the trappings of the patriarchy and its inherent greed was nothing short of brilliant. ...

Incredible production. Wish the venue were bigger so more people could see it. Mike Talplacido wrote an amazing play. The story is relevant and important. There was so much drama. It was next-level drama and I loved it!...

Fantastic production! Talented actors utilize the full use of environment and props to guide a story of politics, greed, family, and taking down the patriarchy. Set in the Philippines, this weaved several stories of family drama, dark secrets, and governmental corruption. ...

The combination of the story and dialog is one of the MANY things that kept me engaged and sitting at the edge of my seat! This could not of been of achieved without all the efforts from the entire production. The actors/actresses really made me feel the emotional conflicts the characters had to face. I took my daughter to watch the production and as she stated, "I could really feel their emotion"...

As a Filipino actor, I was immediately overwhelmed with emotion seeing an entire cast of Filipino performers on stage. Some friends, some of whom I just met that day- telling this incredible Filipino story. A story that had so many twist and turns, I was so excited to see how it would end. Exceptional work by the entire team. It made me feel seen, and so proud to be a Filipino in an incredible community. ...
