What I liked
I thought the costumes and set were just really dynamic and thought through. Calliope and the team did such a fabulous job marketing this show, and being immersed in the world it all felt so genuine and exciting and specific. Jill is a fabulous performer, and I was so excited to get to see this work. Take this show MORE places, star stickers for everyone – excellent, excellent work.

My overall impression
I actually had no idea of the premise before I walked in – I had heard the show was fantastic and Jill was hilarious but I knew nothing else and I was just blown away. I laughed SO much but it also sort of broke my heart. Jill had us at the very start – a slightly deadpan, but mostly just grounded in reality character that we laughed at and with and loved and understood and also happened to be. The crowd work was excellent, the timing was chef’s kiss and I loved Devin the nervous 8 year old. I really enjoyed this show.
