The audience enters completely unaware of what is about to happen, and in respect for future audiences, I will not spoil it for you. Nevertheless, Calliope Weisman’s skillful direction transforms what could be just another “one-woman show” into a one-act play that just happens to have but a single actor in the ensemble. Jill Young is at once funny, inviting and heartwarming, and clearly destined to capture the entertainment industry. I can’t wait to see what she does next.
What I didn't like
More cow bell.
My overall impression
My wife and I had a fun time attending “Macbeth” at the Fringe Festival this evening, beautifully directed by Calliope Weisman and written and performed by the very funny Jill Young. We saw it on closing night, but if it comes back, don’t miss it.
