God I love a pre-show, the action is instant. Jill is in full panic and it’s wonderful to see as soon as you come into the theatre, establishing the tone and sucking you into the world Jill Young, Calliope Weisman, and company have so deliberately crafted. The space’s small arrangement allows for some truly wonderfully intimate moments which can heighten the laughs or increase the intensity of the drama of the moment. The set is wonderfully made with such attention to detail of an elementary school production. The little stars should be proud of the elbow grease they put into making those set pieces. It’s impressive just how large Jill and Calliope have made the space feel in the flow and blocking of the piece. All at once we can be ... full review

Amazing performance. I also found the meta audience interaction very fun--though if you're a person who does not like this, I recommend sitting a few rows away from the stage.... full review

My wife and I had a fun time attending "Macbeth" at the Fringe Festival this evening, beautifully directed by Calliope Weisman and written and performed by the very funny Jill Young. We saw it on closing night, but if it comes back, don't miss it.... full review

A show that deals with the need to perform, be perfect, heartbreak, the end of the world, and whether any of what we do ever even matters. Oh, and a dash of mental illness. Young folds all this into 50 minutes while keeping the show light, even silly, because the conceit is that this desperate character is going to perform all of Macbeth because, eff it, the world-is-ending-why-not. If these are the stakes this character needed to show us everything, it’s worth it, because she shows us the drive to create despite having to work a job and the catharsis of grief during a breakup when you *don’t* run back into their arms. I dug this show. ... full review

While not only hilarious in concept and execution, this show is incredibly heartfelt. These final 45 minutes on earth shared with Jill has you reeling with laughter one moment, and contemplating the human condition the next. An incredibly unique show and a MUST see! Jill and Calliope have truly put on something special. Kudos to this dynamic duo; I cannot wait to see where they both go from here! ... full review

This show is expertly crafted chaos and I loved every single second and wanted more. Jill's acting (and Calliope's direction) was flawless, and fascinating. The script was insanely funny and Jill nailed every beat, every turn, with precision and intention. ... full review

This was such a fun show! I went into knowing nothing, and I'm so glad I did. Jill's timing is impeccable, and Calliope's direction bring us completely into the world of apocalyptic youth theater. The best kind of theater, it turns out. ... full review

Jill Young is a comedic force to be reckoned with. She’s funny and, more importantly, so cool. She’s got characters! She’s got bits! It’s super fun and constantly surprising. I enjoyed it immensely and can’t wait to see what Jill and calliope cook up next... full review

I don't know WHAT I was expecting, but it wasn't this show and I couldn't be happier about it! If every Little Stars performance is as fantastically performed and directed, I'll be back to see them do AGAMEMNON in the Spring. Jill is a terrific performer with great comedic timing, the concept, characters and script are so fun, and the playbill program is inspired. Side note: I teach improv and drama to K-6th grade and I was TRIGGERED by this show. THIS IS MY SUMMER VACATION!!! ;) Fun, great ideas, great timing, unexpected twists - in short, I loved it! And: Devon. (The fact that his last name is "Oldman" is GOLD.)... full review
