General Synopsis:

“Tom and Daniel, two unfamiliar strangers separated by both time and temperament, find themselves sharing the same afterlife in the middle of seemingly nowhere (images of purgatory or CS Lewis’ the great divorce come to mind!)

‘Tom, a fisherman and lover of all things Bob Dylan, wants nothing more than to sing, fish, and to forget about the bigger questions of life. Daniel, a disillusioned professor and self-taught magician, wants to escape the hereafter by practicing and utilizing his new found interest in ceremonial magic. Daniel believes that he can cause the hidden to manifest, through his works, and by doing so placing himself in sole control of his destiny and escaping eternity. He also demands to speak – to place on trail and question – the maker of all worlds visible and invisible!

Overall:

“Bigger Than Us” is a story about unlikely connections and friendships during less than ideal times; it’s an exploration of radical self-acceptance, and a surrender to that which is greater than yourself. Freedom is love, and to reject love – to walk away of it – makes love and everything around you hell.”
