Witty, very NYC-centric, and well-researched. Important and little-known topic, stellar performances, leads posessed incredible chemistry, funny, timely, and scarily relevant ... full review

This play must be seen! After watching Sick, you walk out of the theater feeling hopeful, enlightened and shocked at the extremes that humanity is capable of. Written and directed by Dahn Hiuni, Sick tells the story of a gay activist’s efforts in the early 1970s to declassify homosexuality as a mental illness. It is filled with humor, moving performances, and historical drama. The most shocking part of watching this show is how relevant it is in today’s society. In the script, Dahn Hiuni has quoted the arguments of actual psychiatrists who condemned homosexuality as sick or deviant behavior. These words sound nearly identical to those used to oppress today’s LGBTQ community. ... full review

The play was a powerful anthem to Ron Gold and the Gay Activist movement. It was brought to life by Gregg Rogen who played Ron. His subtle and eventual strong and powerful performance was outstanding . Other cast members, Kevin and Keith gave excellent performances. But Gregg was the lynch pin to all. ... full review

An important piece of theater that I was grateful to have seen — as a younger member of the alphabet mafia, the opportunity to see how the generations before have beaten oppressive systems felt very needed in this tumultuous political moment. Thank you for telling this story right now. We are not sick, and we do not want to be cured.... full review
