I liked best the actor, Jean-Michel Richaud & how he handled the phone conversations, amazing. Most organic & moving.
What I didn't like
- the opening music prior to show. Thumping repetitive notes, why?
A bit confusing the passage of time using a black-out … Why couldn’t the professor change his jacket & the student change her sweater during black-out?
And the direction could have been more creative. I’ve worked in film as script supervisor for years. I saw visuals with movement & would have made suggestions. And why did the student sit in the professor’s chair taking her power back? Sorry, I will now read the play. But wasn’t that kind of over the top?
My overall impression
A treat for thought & beautifully performed. Jean-Michel Richaud, brilliant & Claire Wagner, excellent. Actors superior to the Mamet play.
