My overall impression
Director Miguel Perez’s casting, staging and interpretation of David Mamet’s Oleanna is spot on and contemporary. Claire Wagner and Jean-Michel Richard delivered a captivating performance skillfully portraying the escalating tension and emotional depth between their characters. Exploring themes of gender roles, academic authority and thought provoking questions about truth and perception, left me to again ponder the lines between victim and perpetrator. This production of Mamet’s searing play is a must see!
