I love the vibrant colors of the set chairs, costumes and lights! I love hearing Gordon tell the stories at the beginning that are the impetus for the show: all about his grandpa and a wondrous tale about Jonathan Larson and the exploration of a guardian angel/benevolent being. All of the characters and their stories are quite compelling. Our Lady of Perpetual Disappointment is especially funny. The song lyrics are clever, relatable and hilarious. The show is all about loving yourself and community. And, there’s even a tap dancing sequence!
What I didn't like
I just want more of what is already being done: especially more of Gordon Matheson in the show, more of his personal stories!!!
My overall impression
One of my favorite shows I have seen at the Hollywood Fringe!!! No Matter Watt:
Silver is: zany, heart touching, fiercely sincere and a scream! Gordon Matheson is a masterful and hilarious storyteller, with an enchanting cast, under the brilliant direction of Steven Vlasak!
