What I liked
All three of the actresses were excellent. Believable, relatable, entertaining. They did a good job casting those three because they definitely carried the entire show.
What I didn't like
The guy playing the lead (who I heard was also the producer and writer of the play) obviously wasn’t an actor. He was saying the lines, but they weren’t believable. And he had zero chemistry with the other actors. I honestly had a hard time keeping my eyes open because I felt nothing for the character.
Also, if the character was supposed to be some nerdy, misfit who got pushed around by the “real” longshoremen, I feel they should have found someone who fit that part, physically.
My overall impression
I suppose this could have been a better show if they had cast a more believable actor as the lead, had someone in the lead who could act, and maybe had a little more build up that lead to the ending scene.
