My overall impression
I had the pleasure of catching I Met Someone June 14, 2012. I’d no idea I’d be so taken in by the actress who not only wrote the play, but performed it, Cheryl Francis Harrington. I think it takes an extremely strong woman to bare her soul as Cheryl did. It was the best (and least expensive) therapy session I’d ever attended.
The audience was 99% women. We were instantly caught up in the story, our story. Cheryl seamlessly took us from the innocence of childhood smack dab into the anger and disappointments her mother endured because of the choices she made. Amazing how intricately we’re all connected to our parents’ angst. More amazing is how beautifully Cheryl wove a different tapestry for herself from the shreds.
I highly recommend you get out and see for yourself how faith, love and determination can lead you into the arms of your missing peace (not a misspelling).
