“I Met Someone" is delightful! Anyone who has ever been single (while trying not to be) will love Cheryl Francis Harrington’s new show. As she traveled seamlessly in time and voice to share her hilarious and sincere attempts at love, the audience was a chorus of "um hmm," "no you didn't" and (under our breath) "ooh I did that too." The show left everyone in the house feeling better, relieved and/or more optimistic about our own love journeys. Don't miss this show!... full review

The truths of many women are on stage with Cheryl Frances Harrington as she reveals her journey into the enticing promise of meeting a potential soul mate. The keyword here is potential, and Cheryl’s tale is howlingly funny, insightful, poignant and very real. This is a perfect hour with good writing, strong direction and a great performance. I would go see it again. ... full review

I had the pleasure of catching I Met Someone June 14, 2012. I’d no idea I’d be so taken in by the actress who not only wrote the play, but performed it, Cheryl Francis Harrington. I think it takes an extremely strong woman to bare her soul as Cheryl did. It was the best (and least expensive) therapy session I’d ever attended. The audience was 99% women. We were instantly caught up in the story, our story. Cheryl seamlessly took us from the innocence of childhood smack dab into the anger and disappointments her mother endured because of the choices she made. Amazing how intricately we’re all connected to our parents’ angst. More amazing is how beautifully Cheryl wove a different tapestry for herself from the shreds. I highly recomme... full review

After seeing Cheryl Francis Harrington's engaging show "I Met Someone" I felt that I knew the struggles that women in her situation face trying to find the right man. Even though her story was personal, I could see a universal appeal she brings to her story that many women and men face. Cheryl brings such a lightness to a rather heartfelt story which gives us a chance to smile at a very tragic situation. The old addage of "I have to laugh to keep from crying" certainly applies here. Cheryl eases from one character into another with such effortless precision you never question where you are in her story. She was engaging and thoroughly entertaining. I recommend everyone see this exceptional show.... full review

I think the performance was of good merit, with a strong actress at the helm. The story is simplistic and not terribly novel, but Ms. Harrington made the best of it. I found several great laughs that would not have hit home without her strong efforts.... full review

Cheryl has written a happy/sad/hopeful rendition of her life and has brought it to life in an engaging manner. The recurring "I Met Someone" line was a wonderful counterbalance to the sad things that come in between. I left the theater hopeful for her and for everyone who struggles being loved.... full review
