Witnessing the character's psychological and backrooms game spiritual breakdown in front of a live audience was like watching dynamite burst in slow motion from beginning to end. It's passionately written and performed as he struggles to accept his shortcomings, which are pickled in alcohol, football, the death of his dog, and other things. In a beautifully heartbreaking way, the backrooms protagonist loses himself while adjusting to a tragic loss of life. ... full review

A masterful examination of an alcoholic American, and the lies and self deceptions he tells himself as he spirals ever downward into an abyss of his own making. ... full review

This was a like watching dynamite explode in slow motion from start to finish, witnessing the spiritual and mental deconstruction of the character as he bit by bit shatters in front of a live audience. It's bravely written and acted, as he tries to come to terms with his flaws pickled in beer, football, the loss of his dog and more. Beautifully dire, the character loses himself as he is coping with tragic, life loss. I found it spoke to much of what is going on in the world today. ... full review

An absolute powerhouse of a performance by a solo actor. The description could never do it justice, and neither can this review, but I will try. Ben Moroski delivered a moving, sad, and sometimes funny portrayal of a man spiraling into depression and alcoholism, his alcoholism compounding his problems, his life unraveling. He draws the audience in with his story, the death of his dog, his breakup with his girlfriend, his visit to his parents, all while in the haze of heavy drinking. Absolutely captivating. ... full review

I rushed this show and am so happy I did. There were 3 seats available the night I went. Having struggled with addiction and mental health I was profoundly impacted by this show. I thought about it for the next several days. THIS IS A MUST SEE. The writing was absolute poetry. ... full review

Dog was fantastic. High energy. Almost slam poetry, but with a heartfelt, sad storyline. He made a character we’d all toss off immediately as an asshole and avoid straight away - he made that guy sympathetic, if not likable. Maybe we shouldn’t be so quick to judge people until we walk a mile in their one person show.... full review
