What I liked

Mitch did a great job with interspersing his monologues with video clips. His acting was also very impressive, especially in the scene where Mitch loses his wife. It’s poignant and heartbreaking without being maudlin. There were also great moments of sardonic humor that Mike Royko was famous for.

What I didn't like

It frustrated me that people walked out in the middle of a one man show. Please don’t do that. It’s very disruptive for an actor. You know the running time going in, so please pay the actor respect and watch it until the end.

My overall impression

I met Mitch at the very first Office Hours and we’ve become Fringe friends so I was excited to see his show. I’m glad I did. Mitch embodied Mike Royko, but it was also a fascinating history of Chicago with themes of politics, racism and gun control that are still so relevant today. You should definitely see this show!
