What I liked
Everything….beautiful story-telling that entranced the audience with the words, the use of space, the simple but powerful set design and of course the acting. The small gestures, the use of her body and voice – the audience was mesmerised….
What I didn't like
So hard to think of something! I would encourage her to continue to develop the story, to create deeper layers of how some of her early experiences shaped her sense of self-worth.
My overall impression
An absolute gem….storytelling at its best…explores universal themes of love and relationships (good and bad) and the all too familiar challenge of learning how to love oneself. While told through the eyes of a young woman, the story will resonate with a wide audience. Brilliant writing and sublime acting – tender, powerful and vulnerable all at the same time. It was something truly special to watch – it felt like being on the precipice of something magic….
