What I liked
I loved the language with which Alex used to build the world and the passion with which he told it.
As a Scotsman himself it was clear that this was more than just a history piece, it was apart of his history.
What I didn't like
Aside from actually being in a tanner shop, I’m not sure what if anything would have been an enhancement and not a distraction.
Alex’s storytelling was so stellar anything added unnecessarily would run the risk of diminishing.
My overall impression
Minimalist to perfection. A Masterfully told story of the fight against Scottish Oppression with incredible accuracy. Would kill to see it again.
From the moment it began I became increasingly more enchanted with the story being told. Forgetting entirely the world outside and existing only in the world he presented to me.
